Tom Huddleston recently sat down for an interview with talkSPORT where he discussed at length about various topics. Huddleston admitted that while he has never been left awe-struck by any soccer star, it was different with David Beckham. Huddleston revealed that during his days at Tottenham, Beckham used to briefly train with the London-based club.

The ex-England international was even reportedly close to joining Tottenham from LA Galaxy. However, ultimately, the deal didn’t go through despite the efforts of the then-Tottenham coach Harry Redknapp. Nevertheless, Beckham did use the club’s facilities at that time when he managed to leave Huddleston awed. Huddleston admitted that Beckham was so good-looking that he almost looked like a wax statue.
The United player-coach said, “I think I had been in a couple of England squads with him before but you’re still in the changing room thinking, ‘He doesn’t look real!’.” He further disclosed that despite watching the former Real Madrid midfielder several times on television, getting to see him in real life was completely a different experience.

Meanwhile, Tom Huddleston also revealed about his limited interaction with former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo had joined United a year before Huddleston’s arrival before leaving the club at the end of 2022. Huddleston admitted that due to his commitments as a coach, he couldn’t spend much time with the Portuguese ace.
However, the former Tottenham Hotspur star did credit Ronaldo for inspiring the young soccer players at United. he said, “[The United youngsters] grew up with Ronaldo being one of the top two players in the world for 10/15 years.” Huddleston added that watching Ronaldo helped the youngsters learn how to properly prepare for and recover from the matches, and how much dedication it requires to reach the highest level.
David Beckham revealed the one person who left him “star-struck”
While David Beckham can often leave people captivated, it’s pretty difficult for someone to leave him star-struck. However, one particular person has indeed managed to accomplish this. And it’s none other than the British actress Emilia Clarke. Beckham admitted that he was “star-struck” after meeting Clarke who’s received global acclaim for her work in the popular TV series Game of Thrones.
