The current Bundesliga Champions FC Bayern Munich has reached an agreement with Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur to sign striker Harry Kane. The teams agreed on a permanent transfer worth $110.2 million.
Bayern has been keeping tabs on the English striker for quite some time now. The club previously made two more offers to Tottenham for acquiring Kane’s services. But the London-based club rejected both as they wanted to hold on to the player. It now seems things might have changed as they have agreed to part ways with the striker.
The German Giants have been looking to strengthen their attack after Robert Lewandowski left the club to join FC Barcelona. With Kane’s transfer almost at the edge, manager Thomas Tuchel might be relieved even a bit before the start of the new season.
Bayern Munich has offered a mammoth-sized salary of $27.5 million dollars per year to the player. The deal is currently depending on the player’s final decision. It is to be seen if Kane finally decides to move on to a new adventure or if he tries to win any silverware this season with his boyhood club.
How much did Harry Kane earn at Tottenham Hotspurs?
Harry Kane has been reportedly linked with a move to the Bundesliga as Bayern Munich has agreed to sign the player for an astronomical figure of $110.2 million. The deal hasn’t yet been finalized as the player will have to take a decision before both teams could move further to complete the transfer.
Kane signed his latest contract with Tottenham Hotspur back in 2018. His current contract is set to expire year on June 30. Tottenham paid Kane $255,000 per week. Bayern Munich on the other hand is offering almost $530,000 to Kane each week.
Kane’s current market value is almost $100 million. The North London club is aware that there is still a possibility that they might have to see him leave for free next summer.
The Spurs are willing to offer $26.5 Million per annum if Kane decides to re-sign with the club. While this adds more than $10 Million to his bank account every year, the offer from The German Giants seems to be more attractive.
Neither deal has been denied or accepted as of yet. The English Captain is running out of time as his current contract comes to an end next year. Thus, he will make his decision soon.
