Cristiano Ronaldo has worked under several managers in his career. Even the most prolific managers have appreciated the work ethic of the Portuguese player. CR7 has also managed to deliver great performances while playing for different clubs under different managers.
The Portuguese veteran played a sum of 134 matches for the Seria A club Juventus. The 38-year-old bagged 101 goals and 22 assists during his time at the Italian club. CR7 helped Juventus clinch two back-to-back Seria A trophies while playing for them.
Ronaldo played under the Italian manager Andrea Pirlo at Juventus. The former Juventus manager managed the club in over 50 matches. Having been appointed as the club’s manager in August 2020, Pirlo’s reign at the club lasted till about May 2021.
As per a recent report by ‘GOAL’, the 44-year-old manager had something to say about CR7. Relishing his memories of working with CR7, Pirlo stated – “Training Ronaldo makes you understand how to become number one in the world”.

The Italian manager further added, “He’s an exemplary professional in every aspect: from how he eats, how he recovers, to how he trains”. Several managers throughout CR7’s career have often lauded his professionalism and focus on his game, and Andrea Pirlo has no different opinion regarding Portugal’s number seven.
Ronaldo has an impressive goal-contribution tally of 42 (including goals and assists), in the 44 matches in which he played under Pirlo at Juventus. The Italian manager was able to get the best out of the Portugal player during his managerial stint at Juventus.
Cristiano Ronaldo appreciated his time under former Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo
After a decent run as the Juventus manager for about one season, Andrea Pirlo was shown the exit gate by the club’s hierarchy. After the Italian’s exit from the club’s managerial position, CR7 stated his regards to Pirlo denoting his thoughts about playing under the former Juventus manager.
The Portugal captain took to one of his socials and wrote – “Thank you, Maestro, it was an honor to be coached by you”. CR7 labeled his message alongside a picture of him with Pirlo. Often some of the big-name managers have failed to establish decent work coordination with CR7. However, the words of the veteran player show that the Italian manager was able to do it.
Pirlo currently manages the Seria B club Sampdoria. He was appointed as the club’s manager in June 2023. His contract at the club runs till June 2025. On the other hand, CR7 currently represents the Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr in his club career.
