There’s often a saying, ‘Everyone finds happiness in their unique way.’ Such is the case with Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho right now. The English winger should feel relieved now after joining his former club Borussia Dortmund on loan from Manchester United. Sancho was left out of Manchester United’s first team in September 2023 after a disagreement with manager Erik ten Hag.
However, things took a while turn for the 23-year-old winger, as soon as the INEOS Group came into effect for Manchester United. Not being able to get any further game time under the Dutch manager, Sancho has been loaned back to Dortmund till the end of the season.
Upon joining Dortmund for the second time, the Englishman was given a warm welcome by the German club as he was presented with the Number 10 shirt. Delighted with the gesture by the club, Sancho added some Brazilian flavor to the insights regarding the iconic Number 10 jersey. He made mention of Brazilian legend Ronaldinho in his speech.
The Manchester City academy graduate stated, “It’s an iconic number. Growing up the number ten was always my favorite number due to Ronaldinho. Obviously watching his YouTube clips. So you know, when Dortmund said ten was available I didn’t second guess. I just said ‘Yes please if you could reserve it for me then that would be perfect’.”
Just like Ronaldinho, Sancho is regarded as one of the most God-gifted wingers to have ever graced the game. He has got all those trickery, and fancy footwork to give nightmares to defenders. Stakes will be high when Sancho steps into the field for the first time in five months.
Why did Jadon Sancho apologize to Dortmund?
Manchester United fans across the Internet went furious with Jadon Sancho following a recent event. A recent video released by Borussia Dortmund on their Instagram feed showed Sancho meeting players and staff at the German club behind the scenes.
In the video, a staff made a light-hearted joke on Sancho about the fact that he kept them waiting for the medical check.

Because Sancho came to Germany at about 10 pm on Wednesday, January 10, Dortmund wanted to do the medical check-ups right away so they could announce the deal the next day. Sancho immediately apologized for his lateness to the staff. He stated, “Sorry guys I’m sorry.”
This has however triggered the Manchester United fans across the internet. The reason was that Sancho was not ready to apologize to Erik ten Hag following his backlash with the Dutch manager. Sancho’s unwillingness to apologize forced him to sit out of the first team for five months straight.
