During a promotional event in Japan, Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted wearing a strange device. The discovery was made after the 38-year-old lifted his shirt to reveal his ribbed abs, following a request from an admiring fan. The moment, and the conversation preceding it, have sparked intrigue among fans online.
It all occurred during a press event centered around SIXPAD, a fitness device promoted by the Soccer legend. During the event, a young fan briefly took the spotlight, likely as part of a staged interaction to promote the product. He went on to say, “Please take a look at my abdominal muscles”, before showing off his abs to the striker. In response, an impressed Ronaldo said, “Good, very good”. He also checked the solidity of the fan’s muscles.
Following this, he issued a request to the Al-Nassr forward: “Please show me your abdominal muscles as well.” The Portugal international immediately granted the fan’s wish and flexed his incredible physique. However, he had to unzip a mysterious belt-like object before doing so. The object in focus was later revealed to be SIXPAD’s newest offering, the Powersuit Core Belt.

The fact all but confirms that the interaction was indeed pre-planned. In fact, the entire objective of the event was to promote SIXPAD’s latest product. Although, the method of the reveal leaves much to be desired.
What is SIXPAD? The fitness product promoted by Cristiano Ronaldo
For the uninitiated, SIXPAD is a series of ‘Electro Muscular Stimulation’ products, aimed at various muscles of the body. Developed by Professor Toshio Moritani, the brand has been affiliated with Cristiano Ronaldo since 2015.
As suggested by the name, the company’s first product was targeted toward abdominal muscles, claiming a 12% improvement after eight weeks of usage. In fact, its naming convention can be linked to ‘Six-packs’, the term used for toned abdominal muscles.

Since then, the brand has expanded its product line. SIXPAD’s offerings now cover everything from arms and legs to hips and even full-body workouts. Despite the company’s claims, the products have often been accused of being ‘fitness shams’. Nevertheless, the brand certainly appears to have Ronaldo’s approval, given their long-standing business associations.
