Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo lifted the fortunes of any of the clubs that he has played for in his career. The veteran recently ventured into the Middle East to play for the Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr. The 38-year-old has become a very important player for the club since joining in January 2023.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been performing on the levels expected from him in his stint with Al-Nassr. The forward has netted 11 goals and provided five assists in just his nine matches for the club in the Saudi Pro League season 2023-2024 so far.
As per the reports, CR7 had something to say about his future at Al-Nassr after the club’s recent match against Damac. The 38-year-old stated – “I will continue playing for this season and the next, and then I will look at my body if I can continue or not”. This statement by the Portuguese will at least give relief to fans regarding his availability for the remainder of this season and the next season.

The Al-Nassr’s number seven further said – “Today’s game (game against Damac) was difficult”. He expressed his feelings about his fans and stated that their support pleases him and in return, he makes them happy.
CR7 expressed that he is happy to be in Saudi Arabia. The Portugal player completed his statement by saying – “the hard and great work I do is what brought me to the top”.
Earlier Al-Nassr coach Luis Castro deemed CR7 as one of the best players in the world. Luis marked that it is his pleasure to work with the player. He has often shown his admiration and support for Portugal’s star player. But, with Al-Nassr number seven’s recent statements, it looks like his Coach’s brace is not enough for him to continue playing after two seasons.
More recently the 62-year-old inflicted that “Cristiano knows he’s living the last moments of his career”. The Al-Nassr coach gave the reciprocation when asked about his forward’s future at the club. The Portugal-born coach was appointed the Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr’s manager in July 2023.

CR7 seemed to be impressed and surprised at the same time when he saw his Goat tifo among the fans in Al-Nassr’s recent match. The Al-Nassr forward gave a cheeky smile and then joined his lips together almost depicting his approval for the tifo designed.

The veteran then acknowledged the fans by pumping his hands across his chest. He then raised his hands towards them. It was quite fascinating to notice the delight on the 38-year-old’s face after seeing the whole-hearted support for him. The Portuguese also scored a magnificent free-kick in the second half of the game.
Al-Nassr went on to win the match by 2-1, after trailing by 0-1 in the match earlier. With this win the club climbed to the third spot in this season’s Saudi Pro League table. The management of the club would hope that this connection between their legendary player and the fans continues to prosper.
