- Carlo Ancelotti addressed rumors linking Real Madrid with Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies.
The late red card which was given to Jude Bellingham during Real Madrid’s 2-2 draw with Valencia on March 2, infuriated manager Carlo Ancelotti. The England midfielder’s late goal was disallowed, and he was sent off for a quarrel with the referee.
Bellingham‘s goal in the 98th minute was disallowed by the referee because he blew the final whistle when the ball was still in the air, setting off a thrilling full-time action at Valencia’s Mestalla Stadium. As a result, the 20-year-old midfielder for Real Madrid and the on-field referee got into a heated altercation, and he quickly showed the England international the red card.

Carlo said, “We were annoyed by Bellingham’s red card because he didn’t say anything insulting. It was frustrating, he said: “it’s a f****g goal” and that’s the truth. He didn’t insult Gil Manzano.” Carlo seemed very annoyed with the refereeing decisions being taken in La Liga.
Bellingham was shown a red card, which will make him miss Madrid’s next La Liga match on March 10 against Celta Vigo. However, he will be eligible for their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg on March 7 against RB Leipzig.
Jude Bellingham received a red card for arguing with the referee
After a vulgar outburst directed at the referee, Jude Bellingham was given a red card. In a 2-2 tie with Valencia at the Mestalla on March 2, Vinicius Junior came to Real Madrid’s aid with two goals. A lot of drama unfolded after the game as the referee blew the full-time whistle just before Bellingham scored the winner for Real Madrid.

To put it in detail, Jude Bellingham headed in from the edge of the six-yard box, giving the impression that he had scored the winning goal just before the end. The goal didn’t count, though, since the referee believed otherwise and blew his whistle for full-time before the cross entered the box. This resulted in Jude going at the referee after the match, receiving a red card in the bargain.
Carlo Ancelotti shares his opinion on the Real Madrid squad
Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, recently discussed the possibility of Los Blancos adding more left-back players to their roster in response to rumors that they were in talks with Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich. Ancelotti stated that they are content with both Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy.

Carlo said, “We trust Ferland Mendy, same for Fran Garcia. We are ok with these players, as of now.” Real Madrid will be lacking depth in a left-back position next season and it remains to be seen whether or not they buy a new left-back or continue with Mendy itself.
This 2023-24 season, Mendy, 28, has dealt with several injuries. Having missed a large chunk of the season’s beginning, he has made 24 appearances across all competitions thus far. The Frenchman’s Real Madrid contract is scheduled to expire after the 2024–25 campaign.
