Premier League club Brighton has pulled off a genius move on their X (fka Twitter) account regarding their star player Kaoru Mitoma. The X posts hint at the fact that Mitoma is a big fan of the singer. This has come after the fans of pop-singing sensation Taylor Swift emerged in support of Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham regarding the Golden Boy Web award. However, the singer’s fans ruined the day for his rival Alejandro Balde.
Taylor Swift’s fans are helping Jude Bellingham win the award, as they have emerged in support of him after not being pleased with the comments of his competitor in this honor, Barcelona’s Alejandro Balde. Alejandro Balde suggested that he is not a big fan of Swift’s music. The singer’s fans are doomed by this remark of his.
Meanwhile, Brighton’s official post highlights the fact that Kaoru Mitoma has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month and the Premier League Goal of the Month. The posts ironically resemble this achievement with Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Barcelona’s Alejandro Balde.
Both players are being nominated for the Golden Boy Web Award. Since Mitoma is also a massive fan of Taylor Swift, the post ends with the delicate words “vote here”.
Did you know… @Kaoru_Mitoma is a massive @TaylorSwift13 fan? 😍🎶
In totally unrelated news, he’s also nominated for #PL Player of the Month and #PL Goal of the Month. Vote here! 🗳️⤵️

The club’s admin has cleverly tipped all the fans of Taylor Swift to vote and support their 26-year-old. This would be in the same manner as they are holding up for Bellingham. The Japanese left winger has so far made 37 appearances for Brighton.
The player boasts an impressive eight goals and nine assists to his tally. The 26-year-old joined the Premier League side in August 2021. His current contract expires in June 2025.
Why does Manchester City want Kaoru Mitoma?
Premier League champions Manchester City has been linked with Brighton’s Mitoma in this summer transfer window. According to the reports, the club was looking to replace their star player Riyad Mahrez, who has gone to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.
Ever since Mahrez left for the Saudi Pro League there have been rumors of City going for the Japanese international. The 26-year-old’s stunning performances in the league have spell-bounded everyone so far. In the early part of August, reports suggested that Brighton’s winger is City’s ultimate target going forward. It was believed that the trickiest nature of his play could enable City to fill the void of Riyad Mahrez.

However, the transfer window closed, and nothing could materialize on the deal. Brighton were themselves very reluctant to let the player leave. The club would have demanded high bucks for their informed starlet, and City could have sniffed it.
However, going by the havoc the winger has caused since his arrival in the league, City’s chase for him could still be on in the upcoming winter transfer window.
