Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have signed talented Wales midfielder Brenan Johnson from Nottingham Forest this summer. The player attracted a lot of interest, which included Premier League side Brentford, but Forest rejected all the other offers. However, in the end, the club reached an agreement with Spurs over the transfer of the player.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the North London club has signed the 22-year-old midfielder from their Premier League rivals on a deal that is in the north of $50 million+ add-ons. However, the deal can rise to $56.6 million.
Johnson joined the Nottingham Forest senior team in 2021. The player has played over 109 matches for the club, scoring 29 goals and providing 22 assists under his belt.

Although the deal has been made official, much about the contract between the player and the club is yet to be known. Thus, his salary at his new club is not known.
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou trusts Johnson to be an important part of his plans at the new club this season. It is to be seen if Brenan can leave a mark on the team and help them achieve their goals. Or will this transfer be another bad business for Tottenham?

Wales youngster Brenan Johnson has been one of Nottingham Forest’s pivotal players who helped them survive last season’s Premier League. The player has now decided to set out on a new adventure, as he has reportedly completed his medicals as a new Tottenham player.
The 22-year-old midfielder chose to end his 14-year-long journey with his hometown club. The player started at Nottingham Forest U-18. He played four matches for the team and scored five goals. But he was shortly let out on loan to Lincoln City for a season where he scored 13 goals and made 14 assists.
The player signed his latest contract with the club back in 2021. It was a five-year contract that was set to expire in 2026. The deal saw Johnson earn $163,000 per year.
In the last season, the player played 44 matches in all competitions for Forests. In these 44 appearances, he scored around 10 goals and also had three assists under his belt.
