Norwegian sensation, Erling Haaland, is one of the most talked about players in the world at the moment. The striker has made heads turn ever since his arrival in the Premier League for Manchester City. He has gained a massive following which has resulted in him signing a multi-million sponsorship deal recently.
Haaland signed a 10-year sponsorship deal with the sports brand, Nike. He also had a contract with Nike previously which ran out in 2022. But the star striker has now decided to become a long-time representative of the brand.
Haaland rose to fame with his superb form with RB Salzburg in UCL. He was then subject to massive interest from several European clubs. The striker chose Borussia Dortmund before transferring to England last year. His form in the Premier League has made him one of the best players this season.

This resulted in a massive increase in his following as various brands like Puma, Adidas, and Nike wanted to sign him. It has been reported that Haaland chose to sign for Nike to emulate his idol, Ronaldo Nazario.
The Norwegian has always been a fan of the Brazilian and has decided to move on the same path as his idol. He was seen wearing Puma and Adidas boots at some points this season as didn’t have a contract with any brand.
How much money will Erling Haaland make from Nike deal?
The 22-year-old Haaland has signed a whopping deal with Nike which would earn him around $250 million. The deal will earn him around $25 million each season making him one of the highest earners through sponsorship deals.
In a statement released by Nike, they said: “His record-breaking scoring has put a stamp on the future of the game, and makes him the heir to number 9 — the next-generation striker. Haaland’s commitment to holistic fitness and mental health contribute to his success.”

Haaland has already gone through a significant salary raise ever since he signed for Man City. The striker currently earns around $35 million per season in wages from the PL Champions.
It already seems like Haaland’s superb form is translating into significant raise in his earnings. The Norwegian would like to continue his form to become one of the most followed and richest stars in the game. He missed Man City’s latest game with Liverpool because of an injury but is expected to return soon.
Other Nike athletes and their contracts
Nike is one of the biggest brands which always looks to sign superstars of the game. Their biggest signing would probably be Cristiano Ronaldo who is signed with Nike for a lifetime contract. The massive contract earns the Portuguese around $24 million a year, a little less than what Erling Haaland would be earning.
