While Modric’s future remains up in the air, there has been reported interest in the MLS and Saudi Arabia. It has been reported that Inter Miami is interested in signing the Croatian skipper at the end of this season. Although fans relish the idea of watching Modric link up with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, there has been no official communication from either Modric or Real Madrid.
Nevertheless, Velimir Zajec believes that not the United States or Saudi Arabia, but a return to his country, is the best option for Luka Modric. Modric, who started his professional career at Dinamo Zagreb, left the club in 2008. He made 80 appearances for Zagreb and scored 25 goals, besides providing 21 assists. With Modric turning 39 in September this year, perhaps it’s still too early for him to leave Europe.
