The decision they took was to part ways with each other. Being at the wheel for a year so far, Thomas Tuchel hasn’t had the year he would thought for. Winning the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021, many thought he could repeat that feat with the star-studded squad of Bayern Munich but he wasn’t able to implement his tactics to get the best out of the squad.
In the year at the wheel of the Munich giants, Tuchel has accumulated 2.02 points per game. Wherein he has helped Bayern win the league title on goal difference against their arch-rivals, Borussia Dortmund. Not living up to the hype, Tuchel is on the verge of being a free agent in the summer window.
Xabi Alonso’s potential destinations in the upcoming season
Alonso’s impressive transformation of Bayer Leverkusen has put Alonso on the radar of giants like Bayern Munich and Liverpool. He is leading to become their next manager following the departure of Thomas Tuchel from the Bundesliga champions at the end of the season. Although there is no release clause in his contract. Alonso will be allowed to leave if he decides to pursue other opportunities.
Sky Sports reports that although Liverpool is interested in hiring Alonso. The manager seems more inclined towards staying in Germany than moving to the Premier League to replace Jurgen Klopp. Jurgen Klopp is stepping down this summer, creating a managerial vacancy.

As the managerial carousel spins, the competition between Bayern Munich and Liverpool for Alonso’s services adds an intriguing dimension to the upcoming managerial appointments in European football. Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, has dismissed speculations about Klopp potentially filling the Bayern vacancy. Affirming the manager’s plan to take a year-long sabbatical.
