FC Barcelona is missing from the new edition of EA Sports FC 24. The Catalan club fans are thus left disappointed with the omission. Barcelona has been missing from the previous FIFA editions as well.
Barcelona’s stadium Spotify Camp Nou will not be available in the latest edition of EA Sports. The real reason behind the omission is that EA Sports does not have the exclusive rights and license of the club. In 2020, Konami took up all the rights and licenses of the club for e-game.
The Catalan club was not the only club whose Konami had taken over the rights. Italian club Juventus and Argentine side River Plate and Boca Juniors also signed a contract with Konami.

Camp Nou has not been featured in FIFA since 2016 when they first signed a contract with the Japanese video game conglomerate. The club had signed a three-year deal with them which they again re-signed in 2020. The deal is set to expire in 2024.
Therefore, the fans had expected EA Sports to take over Barcelona‘s rights once the contract was over with the Japanese franchise. However, according to recent news, the Catalan club is considering signing another contract with the Japanese video game conglomerate.
Hence, fans might not be able to experience Spotify Camp Nou in future editions of EA Sports FC. However, the club is yet to sign an official contract with Konami.

Another fan was seen assuring other fans that they could still use the badge and the kits in the game. They wrote, “Don’t worry they’ll have kits and badges still because they have the agreement with LaLiga. Similar with Premier League agreement, where United are contracted to Konami but still have kits and badge in FIFA.”
