SUMMARY
- In 2019, the statue of David Beckham was unveiled outside the LA Galaxy.
- However, he got pranked by seeing his statue.
Famous soccer star David Beckham in 2019 was having one of the best days of his life, with his statue being revealed outside the LA Galaxy stadium. However, before that turned into reality, James Corden of the Late Late Show had different plans. James Corden pulled off an epic prank on David. After finding out that Beckham hadn’t seen his statue, Corden devised a scheme that astounded the superstar.
To highlight everything Becks despised about the evidence he was shown, Corden’s crew set out to create a phony replica of the Beckham statue. That translates to a ridiculously big butt and a gigantic chin. An open mouth with three teeth and asymmetrical eyes completed an appearance so horrifying that it would have made the statue of Cristiano Ronaldo cringe.
In order to showcase the monument, Cordon employed actors to dress up as gala attendees. He also created a comic who resembled the sculptor, whom Beckham met during the process, and had his crew masquerade as Galaxy staff while photographing Beckham in the run-up to the statue’s debut.
David Beckham reacts in shock toward his fake statue
Beckham’s reaction was priceless, and he was shocked by what he saw before his eyes. He said, “It doesn’t look anything like me though. Look at my eyes, the only good thing is the hair, and that’s about it. Look at my bum, look at my arse, it definitely doesn’t look like that.” The viewers burst out in laughter but also praised David for gracefully handling the situation.

When Beckham asked Galaxy officials about the statue, he was a little upset, and he became irritated when they all said it was fantastic. To be fair, Beckham handled the whole situation with a lot of grace. He apologized to the sculptor and said he didn’t intend to offend, but he also told everyone that this was terrible and that his parents and wife were flying in from the United Kingdom for the public presentation.

Also, David Beckham is one of the most famous soccer players in the world, and a soccer player’s statue being unveiled in the USA speaks volumes about his popularity.
