He has bestowed upon the WWE Universe several memorable moments and occupies a legendary position inside the company. Every week, Rey entertains the audience and upholds his legendary legacy.
During his stint in WCW, Mysterio gained notoriety as the man wearing the mask. He revealed a fascinating side of himself and is renowned for having some of the greatest Wrestling matches of his career. Throughout his career, as a Luchador, Rey gave several outrageous performances while donning a mask. The Biggest Little Man in the WWE has a lot of accolades outside the squared circle as well.
Given his excellent athleticism and agility, anyone would be amazed to see the 5-foot-2-inch superstar do insane acrobatics and stunts during his matches. His abilities were observed by several recruits in Hollywood as he acted in one of Freddy Krueger’s movies. Many fans would not believe that Mysterio has acted as a stunt double for the character of Krueger as it has not been talked about much.

WWE Superstars you didn’t know acted in Hollywood movies
Several prominent superstars were part of several films apart from their exciting WWE careers. Even while he may not be the most well-known figure in wrestling, former WWE star Shad Gaspard was instrumental in the incredibly successful stand-alone Black Panther film from Marvel Studios. Being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe shows how skilled Gaspard was.
Everyone knew Shad Gaspard for his WWE run, but his impact on mainstream entertainment flew under the radar.

From being a caring father to acting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Gaspard has done it all. The former member of Cryme Tyme appeared in an uncredited appearance, filling in for Winston Duke, the beloved actor who portrayed M’Baku, the gorilla tribe’s leader. Another huge superstar who acted in a Hollywood movie was the Wrestling Machine Kurt Angle.
Kurt Angle gladly took the call from The Rock when Michael Bay was seeking someone to play a little fighting role for 2013’s Pain & Gain. In a silent flashback, Angle plays a prison thug who is beaten up by The Rock. Thanks to his enormous physique, Kevin Nash has acted in several films. He portrayed Super Shredder in the second Turtles film, a prison guard who popped steroids in The Longest Yard, and a villain in The Punisher. In addition, despite lacking any dancing ability, he was cast as seasoned stripper Tarzan in the Magic Mike series.
Rey Mysterio finds himself all alone despite being in the LWO
The biggest Luchador has been dealing with family issues since 2022 when his son Dominik Mysterio betrayed him at Clash at the Castle in 2022. Since then, Rey has seen a lot of betrayals from his stablemates as well. He defeated his son in an iconic match at WrestleMania 39 but that wasn’t enough. Forming Latino World Order, Rey had a bunch of guys looking out his back.
Unfortunately, Santos Escobar betrayed the former Royal Rumble winner on an episode of SmackDown which led to his tag team match at WrestleMania 40. Rey joined forces with Andrade and took on the team of Escobar and Dominik. Thanks to Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson, Mysterio and Andrade grabbed a win against the team. As of now, one of his close friends Carlito also took a turn and betrayed Rey joining forces with Dominik on RAW.
Only time will tell how things will turn out for the legendary superstar after facing a handful of betrayals in the past.
