Real Madrid have been chasing the signatures of Kylian Mbappe from the last 2 transfer windows, but any move is yet to materialize. But a move to the Santiago Bernabeu seems to be possible as the Frenchman’s contract expires in 2024 and he has denied any chances of extending it. So after all Mbappe may join his club of dreams next year.
As Mbappe leaves, it would be the disbanding of the Neymar-Mbappe-Messi trio for PSG, forcing them to sign fresh players to re-build their squad from scratch. And they intend to do so with an eye for an eye approach.
🚨 PSG have drawn up a shortlist of five Real Madrid players they will target in response to the Spanish club’s pursuit of Kylian Mbappé:
🇧🇷 Vini Jr
🇧🇷 Rodrygo
🇫🇷 Aurélien Tchouaméni
🇫🇷 Eduardo Camvinga

As reported by SPORT.es PSG have listed some of their potential targets for the upcoming transfer windows, which consist of 5 Los Blancos, given top priority to Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr. As Marco Verrati has set out on a voyage to the Qatari Stars League, they would like to replace him with the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga or Federico Valverde.
Real Madrid may remain quiet in this matter as with these players, they have their midfield sorted for the next decade. As a matter of fact, they don’t have the depth in their squad right now to replace these players. The veterans Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are in the twilight of their careers and may retire soon. So this doesn’t make any sense in selling their Midfielders.
Speaking about this season, the injury of Vini Jr. has thinned the forward line of Real Madrid, and they lack a quality striker in their setup. These players are key parts of the first team. So it’s hard to imagine that Real Madrid would let even one of these players go. And even if they did, PSG would have to pay a huge amount of $2.15 bilion to trigger the release clause of these 5 players, all at once.
Kylian Mbappe is reportedly set to join Real Madrid as a Free Agent in 2024
Mbappe has clearly dropped hints of joining Madrid next year, as he has denied the PSG of extending his contract. He also had offers from Saudi clubs, but he chose to play in Europe. Mbappe’s contract expires next year. Unless he changes his mind at the last moment, he will be joining Madrid as a free transfer.
The Los Blancos have already strengthened their midfield with the valuable addition of Jude Bellingham this summer and with the joining of Mbappe next year, Real Madrid are going to be a strong force to be reckoned with for every club around the globe.
