Two-sport ONE World Champion Regian Eersel always does his homework before battle. After all, he’s unbeaten across 11 bouts in ONE Championship and rides a 22-fight winning streak. And as ONE Fight Night 21 on Prime Video nears, the Surinamese striker isn’t getting lazy.
The one they call “The Immortal” straps on the big gloves once again to defend his ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Championship against Alexis Nicolas in the main event on Friday, April 5, inside Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Kickboxing and Muay Thai fans can’t deny Eersel’s reign. He never rests on his laurels and treats every foe as the biggest threat of his career. So far, that approach has paid off.

“I look at everybody they put in front of me as the most dangerous guy because the one in front of me is the one who is trying to beat me,” Eersel said. “My opponent is gonna do everything in his power to get the win and to get the belt. Nobody is an easy fight. Everybody is dangerous.”
Eersel exists inside an impenetrable mindset, which has allowed him to run through the lightweight striking divisions. That said, he plans to leave Lumpinee Boxing Stadium the same way he will walk in – as two-sport ONE World Champion.
Regian Eersel ready for whatever comes at ONE Fight Night 21
If you look at two-sport ONE World Champion Regian Eersel’s resume, the 31-year-old enjoys treating fans to a knockout. But ahead of April’s clash at ONE Fight Night 21 on Prime Video, Eersel expects nothing less than a five-round war against the undefeated Alexis Nicolas.
Nicolas is a French kickboxing star holding a perfect record of 23-0. He arrived in the promotion this past January at ONE Friday Fights 47, surpassing Magomed Magomedov across three rounds to introduce himself to the lightweight kickboxing fold.
Eersel was watching as Nicolas made his ONE debut. From that performance, “‘The Immortal” knows he can’t take the Frenchman lightly. In fact, he’s aware of the opportunity that Nicolas faces.

“I was watching live when he had his first fight for ONE. He’s a smart fighter, good with his kicks, and he throws good combinations. It’s gonna be a good fight for me, and I’m gonna put my name to the test again. It’s also good for him that he gets to fight for the belt in his second fight in ONE,” Eersel said.
“I think we are both gonna score a lot of points and throw lots of combinations. And I hope I’m gonna catch him. But in my mind, I’m preparing for five rounds of war.”
