Sinsamut Klinmee is all set for the massive test that awaits him at ONE Fight Night 22. With a lot on the line for his upcoming bout, the Muay Thai star is ready to test himself against a very dangerous opponent. That said, he also has a strong feeling about how the fight will play out.
For those unaware, ONE Fight Night 22 goes down at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, May 3. In what is sure to be a blockbuster night capped off by 19-year-old phenom Smilla Sundell and Natalia Diachkova, we will also see many other notable fighters take to the ring.

Among them will be former title challengers Sinsamut Klinmee and Dmitry Menshikov, who will be looking to build their way back to the division’s champion, Regian Eersel. With both fighters losing only to the champion up until now, there is a lot of expectation for the fight to deliver and perhaps even turn out to be one of the best fights on the night.
Sinsamut Klinmee predicts his upcoming fight with Dmitry Menshikov
Coming into this one, there is a lot riding for Sinsamut Klinmee as he looks to make a case for himself. Having made a promising start to life in ONE by beating Nieky Holzken, the 28-year-old has always been viewed as a future champion. Hailing from a family of Muay Thai and Boxing World Champions, many feel that Sinsamut clinching the title is simply an inevitability.
Having competed extensively as a boxer, Sinsamut has honed his striking skills. With a national title and a BKFC win under his belt, the fighter has no shortage of confidence. Moreover, with two wins on the trot against Victor Teixeira and Mouhcine Chafi, it makes sense for the Thai star to have a good idea of which way the fight is going to go.
“I can’t say for sure (whether the fight goes past the first round). I can only guarantee that it will be fun and it will be exciting because we both lost to Regian (Eersel) by KO so I think we would just go into the fight and trade weapons. Maybe it will not last three rounds, maybe it will be a knockout, either him or me.”
Whilst Sinsamut Klinmee fully backs himself going into the fight, it will be a very difficult challenge against Dmitry Menshikov. Recognizing the same, Klinmee predicts that the fight could go either way. Based on his style of fighting, he can only suggest that it will be an unmissable watch.
Sinsamut Klinmee has a lot of respect for Dmitry Menshikov and his power
For the most part, Sinsamut Klinmee is fully aware of the threat that his opponent poses. That said, he will be vary of Dmitry Menshikov’s power and has hailed him as a very good fighter. Having finished Mouhcine Chafi in the very first round in his last outing, there is no doubt that Menshikov is a big threat to any and all fighters. Like Klinmee, the Russian is also driven by vengeance, having lost to Regian Eersel.
Ahead of the fight, Sinsamut had some high praise for Menshikov, who although only has 3 fights to his name in ONE, happens to be a tenured Muay Thai fighter.
“Well, I know that Dmitry is a very dangerous fighter, he’s a very good fighter, and I’m very excited to face him in the upcoming week. I think it’s very challenging for me and I want to, you know like, who’s better than who, I just want to know that and I have always liked to fight someone who is good, who are good fighters.”

“Right now I just want to focus on Dmitry, not looking at him as someone who has lost to Regian Ersel or anything, I’m just looking at him as another fighter who is also a heavy hitter and his punches are very dangerous and I think I have dangerous striking too, so I think I would have to focus on that first.”
Ahead of the fight, Three-weight ONE MMA World Champion Anatoly Malykhin has also had a lot of great things to say about his fellow Kuzbass fighter. Owing to an impressive 27-2 professional record before joining ONE along with going 10 years unbeaten, Malykhin believes that the fight is heavily in favor of Menshikov. As such, it will be interesting to see how things play out when Sinsamut Klinmee and Dmitry finally throw down.
