Charismatic heavyweight MMA star Ben Tynan added another finish to his unbeaten record this past weekend. The first-round stoppage over Duke Didier came as his second win in a row in ONE Championship, and he’s already eyeing a clash with the promotion’s heavyweight king.
“Vanilla Thunder” knocked out Didier this past Friday, April 5, at ONE Fight Night 21 on Prime Video. The victory took him to 6-0 overall. But there’s another unbeaten talent in the division he feels he’s destined to meet in three-weight ONE MMA World Champion Anatoly Malykhin.
“We’ve got a middleweight holding the belt at heavyweight, and that ain’t cool. I’m calling out Anatoly [Malykhin]. I’m coming for you, man. It may not be next, but I’m coming, brother,” Tynan said in his post-fight speech.
“He’s a middleweight. There’s not a middleweight on this planet that can beat me. I will whoop his ass!”
It’s still early days in Tynan’s ONE Championship tenure, and there are credible names above him awaiting Malykhin’s return to heavyweight. But if the Canadian star can keep racking up the wins, a collision between the beastly duo will certainly capture the attention of fans in the future.
“I’m Looking Forward To Sharing The Ring With Him” – Anatoly Malykhin Responds To Ben Tynan’s Words
Three-weight ONE MMA World Champion Anatoly Malykhin has no shortage of contenders on his tail. And after ONE Fight Night 21 on Prime Video this past weekend, the Russian king can add another to the list.
Rising heavyweight star Ben Tynan took apart Duke Didier inside one round this past Friday, April 5, to earn his second consecutive finish inside ONE Championship before calling out Malykhin.
Fortunately, “Sladkiy” was in attendance to hear it for himself, and he’s looking forward to a future showdown with the Canadian.

“I’m glad to see some new faces in ONE. A strong opposition is exactly what I need. I’m happy there are guys who are not only good in the ring, but also develop their own style outside of it. They definitely bring something unique,” Malykhin said.
“I’m looking forward to sharing the ring with him. I think America sounds like the perfect place to really put him to the test.”
Before the pair can pencil in a clash, Malykhin has other heavyweight stars like Amir Aliakbari and Oumar Kane looking for the next shot at the Russian.
Malykhin has no shortage of enemies at this point following his history-making win at ONE 166 this past March, and it’ll be interesting to see who he faces in his next appearance.
