SUMMARY
- Ben Tynan is set to fight Mauro Cerilli at ONE 167 on June 7.
- Tynan is coming off an impressive win against Duke Didier at ONE Fight Night 21.
Ben “Vanilla Thunder” Tynan is aiming big with a quick return to action to keep his momentum rolling. The unbeaten Canadian heavyweight faces veteran knockout artist Mauro “The Hammer” Cerilli in an MMA fight at ONE 167: Stamp vs. Zamboanga on Prime Video, which airs live in U.S. primetime on June 7 from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Tynan extended his perfect professional record to 6-0 by ending Duke “The Duke of Canberra” Didier’s night via a first-round TKO at ONE Fight Night 21 earlier this month. “Vanilla Thunder” posted a bold statement shortly after the fight.

“Sooner or later they’ll all bend the knee. This weight class belongs to me,” he said in his Instagram after beating Didier. Tynan immediately called out divisional king Anatoly “Sladkiy” Malykhin, but he’ll have to get through “The Hammer” first.
Mauro Cerilli is a worth opponent for Ben Tynan
Ben Tynan knows that he is in for a tough fight when he faces former ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title challenger Mauro Cerilli, who has gone up against the top dogs for years in ONE’s heavyweight MMA ranks.
Despite various results, the Italian has proven himself to be extremely dangerous, with 10 career knockouts to his credit. All three of his ONE wins have come via stoppage – including a TKO over Paul “King of the North” Elliott in his last outing.

Experience will also be the main key as “The Hammer” has collected 20 professional fights, and he’ll look to utilize that advantage on June 7. That being said, this matchup could have serious implications for the heavyweight MMA division’s upper echelon, and it adds to an already stacked card in Bangkok.
Tynan vs. Cerilli will set up the mood for the main and co-main event slots, where Stamp Fairtex and Denice “The Menace” Zamboanga clash for the ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Title, and Tawanchai PK Saenchai defends his ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title against “Smokin” Jo Nattawut.
