Why did Ray Davis grow up homeless?
Ray Davis was born into a family of 16 members, and his childhood days were filled with darkness and sorrow. Just a nine-year-old from San Francisco, California, he walks on the streets every morning to take his sister to school and runs back home to care for his little brother.
During the early days of his childhood, he lived with his mom and the other four siblings after his parents split. Sadly, his mom also left him alone, but luckily, he got shelter at his grandma’s house. However, Davis was not even allowed to sleep in the bed, so he spent his nights on the floor in Grandma’s room.
The running back and grandma used to lie to social workers by saying he had his room to sleep and live in to keep him away from foster care. Thereafter, at age eight, he became the ward of his hometown, and when he turned 12, he became shelterless with two of his siblings. Once the player found that a family had a foster to keep two among three, Davis let his brother and sister go and stay back alone.
From there, a new dark chapter of his life began while he was alone. Little Davis began begging for a couch, chair, or a place to sleep at night, but he was rejected everywhere. But nothing stays forever, and Davis eventually found shelter over his head at his favorite teacher’s house. Since then, the running back has never spent a night without a roof over his head.
Who are Ray Davis’s parents?
The parents of the running back were Jessica Blazer and Raymond Davis. Ray Davis spent very little time with his parents as they got separated due to unknown problems. The 24-year-old’s father is a sports Hall of Famer at Galileo High School.
Not much information is available about her mother, as she was never seen with her child, and he never even talked about her. Davis was raised by Lora Banks and Greg Ley when he was 15 years old. Banks is just like his real mom; he loves to be with her and become a part of the family.
