The Eagles first drafted the NFL star in 2013 during the second round. There, he won the Super Bowl in 2018. During his time in Philadelphia, he was awarded 3 Pro Bowls from 2017-2019. Later, in 2021, he joined the Arizona Cardinals and served them for two years. The 33-year-old man is currently a free agent and looking for a new opportunity to reunite with the game again.
On the other hand, his wife, Julie Beth Ertz, is an ex-American Women’s international soccer team star who appeared for 123 fixtures from 2013-2023 and netted 20 times. She started her senior club career in 2014 at Chicago Red Stars. She made 95 appearances and scored six goals for the club from 2014-2021.
After spending seven seasons in Chicago, she joined Angel City FC after taking a break in 2022 because of her childbirth in August 2022. Julie returned to the pitch in Angle City’s Jersey but made only three appearances for the club and scored just once.
Besides all these, the former American international wore the crown of world champion two times in the senior team’s jersey and once in the U-20 team. She was the captain of the USA team that won the 2012 Women’s U-20 World Cup held in Japan.
The United States’ former international was capable of playing as both a central defender and midfielder. Finally, in August 2023, the number 8 of America announced retirement and started spending time with her one-year-old son, Madden Mathew.
