As for Bryce Young, the star player is playing for the Carolina Panthers presently. The team drafted him as their 1st pick in the 1st round of the NFL draft this year. This clearly shows how good of a reputation the 5-foot-10 star has set for himself till now. Young was undoubtedly one of the greatest NFL prospects this year.
The July 2001-born QB signed his rookie contract with the Panthers for 4 years. It’s a huge $37.9 million deal that came with a signing bonus of $24.6 million. The contract has $37.9 million guaranteed and will offer Bryce Young an average yearly salary of $9.4 million.
The difference between the contract amount of Tyson Bagent and Bryce Young is quite obvious. Young’s one-year salary is much more than the Bears star’s whole 3-year contract. However, despite the difference in their contracts, both the QBs have been putting equal effort in the NFL.
Comparing the college stats of Tyson Bagent and Bryce Young
The fact that Bryce Young was the Panthers’ 1st pick this year says a lot about his college career. Born in Pennsylvania, the quarterback has been passionate about football since he was a kid. He started playing the game when he was in high school and played for Mater Dei High School. Reports suggest that Young even became the High School Offensive Player Of The Year.
After high school, Young was planning to join the USC and play for the Trojans. However, he then changed his mind and went to the University of Alabama and played football there. Throughout his 3-year college career, Bryce Young got 80 TDs and 12 interceptions for 8,356 passing yards. He completed 624 out of his 949 passing attempts.
As for Tyson Bagent, he also had an amazing college career. The West Virginia-born QB went to Martinsburg High School. His phenomenal performance in high school made him the West Virginia Gatorade Player of The Year. After that, he went on to attend Shepherd University.
Bagent played college football for 5 years and was impressive throughout that time. He recorded 159 touchdowns and 48 interceptions for 17,034 passing yards. The NFL star completed 1400 out of the 2,040 passing attempts he made.
It’s worth noting that both Bryce Young and Tyson Bagent exhibited exceptional performances in college. However, Bagent has better stats than the Carolina Panthers star as he played 2 years more than Young. For now, both of them are giving their best to lead their respective teams to the Super Bowl this year.
