The New York Jets faced a devastating hit to their season hopes after Aaron Rodgers got injured in his first start for them. Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon and has been missing in action since then. He made the switch to the Jets this offseason after spending his entire career with the Green Bay Packers.
Since then there has been a lot of talk about when the veteran quarterback will make a comeback. And fans might have got a glimpse into what the future holds for Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers was recently in attendance for the New York Jets vs Los Angeles Chargers game.
After the game, Rodgers could be seen speaking to Chargers player Derwin James, who asked when he was coming back. To this Aaron Rodgers replied – “Give me a few weeks“. Naturally, NFL fans have lost it after getting to know this and people cannot wait for his return. Everyone is excited and many praised his commitment to an accelerated recovery.
Aaron Rodgers is determined to make a comeback this season
Aaron Rodgers recently addressed his desire to come back and play again this season while on ESPN’s ManningCast. He said it’s his goal to come back into this season and help the Green Bay Packers team. However one must keep in mind that there are a lot of factors that have to be considered into getting him back on the field. Whatever decision is taken, it will have to protect his body from further injuries.
“Listen, I’d love to come back this season,” Rodgers said. “I think for me you always have to set a goal, otherwise you go kind of crazy. And so the goal is to definitely come back. But there’s a lot of factors that go into that. But I’ve got to get to the point where I can protect myself and do what I do.”

Rodgers was also questioned on the Pat McAfee show as to when he is planning to make a return. At first, he didn’t want to comment on it but then was edged on by former teammate A.J. Hawk. He said that he feels anything is possible and can be back this season. Furthermore, Rodgers said he relishes it when people doubt his capabilities and it gives him more motivation to prove them wrong.
“I think what I’d like to say is … Give me the doubts,” Rodgers said. “Give me the timetables. Give me all the things that you think can, should or will happen. Because all I need is that one little extra percent of inspiration. That’s all I need.”
He spoke in a passionate manner about wanting other’s timetables, doubts and prognostications. It will fuel him even more, and make all opinions null and void. It speaks volumes about his mettle and character.
