Josh Allen is undoubtedly the most valuable player for the Buffalo Bills right now. However, the team was in a kind of dilemma when there were rumors of beef between Allen and WR Stefon Diggs. The two players have been playing together for the Bills since 2020 when Diggs joined the team. The quarterback has finally addressed the issue of the rift between him and Diggs.
Josh Allen recently appeared as a guest on “The Rich Eisen Show”. There, Eisen asked the NFL star about him and Stefon Diggs having a beef. Allen didn’t deny the rumors of rift but revealed that things have changed for gold between the two. He mentioned that the problem between them is “way back there” now.

“We hugged it out… Whatever it was, whatever the media made it, it’s way back there… We’re reading the same word right now… Same letter, we’re pronouncing it at the same exact time,” he said during the show.
Some time back, some reports even claimed that things happened between Allen and Diggs in the heat of the moment. The wide receiver “can get emotional” at times, a source told the Pro Football Network. It further mentioned that the two talented players have a “very strong working relationship”.
From what the Madden 24 cover star said, it seems like things are fine now between him and Diggs. The NFL is a game where such kinds of beef keep happening. However, it’s upon the players to maintain the sportsmanship, and Allen and Diggs know it.
What happened between Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs?
Josh Allen has been with the Buffalo Bills since the team selected him as the 7th pick in the 2018 NFL draft. Stefon Diggs, on the other hand, joined him 2 years later in 2020. The two reportedly had a good bromance but things took a bitter turn eventually. As per reports, the showdown between the two star players began last season.
It happened after the Bills lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Division Playoff. After the game was over, people witnessed the wide receiver confronting the star quarterback. The camera allegedly captured Diggs shouting and making gestures at Allen after the loss. He was reportedly frustrated because he got only 4 catches for 35 yards in the game.

Buffalo fans got even more worried after head coach Sean McDermott made a shocking statement. He mentioned how they were “very concerned” about Diggs’ journey with the team. However, things turned out to be back on track again as Josh Allen and the WR reconciled soon. Diggs even said during an interview that, “Me and him never didn’t get along … that’s my guy”.
Whatever happened between Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs was probably a one-time thing. The two star players made it clear that they understood the importance of team spirit. For now, both of them are looking forward to leading the Bills to a Super Bowl this season.
