The legendary quarterback, who won four Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers, has praised Joe Burrow highly. Former NFL quarterback, Joe Montana said that the rising star of the Cincinnati Bengals is a man of integrity and talent. He was impressed by Burrow’s performance on the field, as well as his involvement in the community.
In March, the NFL legend said Burrow was one of his favorite quarterbacks to watch, and exclaimed, “He should have been back in the Super Bowl again.” Burrow led the Bengals to their first playoff win in the last 31 years, but unfortunately, they missed the Super Bowl trophy.
Montana and Burrow recently teamed up with Guinness to promote their non-alcoholic beer, Guinness 0, and to support their respective charities. Montana spoke to USA TODAY on August 21, and shared his admiration for Burrow, who is entering his fourth season in the NFL.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame also commented on the NFL’s rule change that allows players to wear the number 0 on their jerseys. Montana and Burrow wore number 0 jerseys in their Guinness ad campaign, which also featured a humorous exchange between them.
Retired QB Joe Montana stated, “The way that you can really reach out and help and have the ability to do that. That speaks I think so highly of him [Joe Burrow] and his integrity.”
Burrow’s enjoyable and impressive gameplay left Montana mesmerized, predicting a long and exciting career. “And then watching him play, it’s just fun. He’s got a great ability, he showed it in college and he just carried it over here into the NFL.” Per Montana Burrow’s talent stands out, “He’s gonna be one of those guys that’ll be around for a long time and a lot of fun to watch.”
Previously, Burrow said he felt an instant connection when he met NFL star Joe Montana for the first time and admired Montan’s resume on and off the field, and credited him for being part of the reason why the game has grown so much. Joe Montana and Joe Burrow are two quarterbacks who have made their mark on the NFL and have inspired millions of fans in the world.
Burrow’s record-breaking last season with the Bengals
Three weeks ago, the Cincinnati Bengals were alarmed when quarterback Joe Burrow got hurt during practice. He suffered a calf strain, expected to be benched for “several weeks,” confirmed Coach Zac Taylor. However, prior to the preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, observers spotted Burrow running and throwing on the field, signifying progress.

He ranked fifth in passing yards and second in touchdowns among NFL quarterbacks, with 4,475 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Offensive coordinator Brian Callahan praised his diligent rehab efforts and his positive impact on the team’s morale.
In the team’s preseason finale, scheduled for August 27, the Bengals will face the Commanders. Following that, the Bengals will kick off their regular season against the Browns in Week 1 on September 10.
