As the NFL is proceeding, many talented players are exhibiting their skills. Two of those players are the New York Giants’ Daniel Jones and Tommy DeVito. Recently, DeVito led the team to victory against the Washington Commanders with 3 touchdowns for 246 yards. However, the money he’s been earning is not enough, keeping his performance in mind.
Born in August 1998, Tommy DeVito entered the NFL this year itself. The Giants first signed the QB as an undrafted free agent in April this year. It was a deal worth $2.7 million for 3 years with a signing bonus of $10,000. The contract also had $20,000 guaranteed and offered him an average yearly salary of $901,667.

However, the team then waived him mid-season in August 2023, and resigned to their practice squad. It’s a contract for 1 year worth $750,000, offering an average yearly salary of $750,000. As per the contract, Tommy DeVito earns a prorated salary of around $44,000 every week.
As for Daniel Jones, he has been there with the Giants since 2019. His rookie contract was worth $25.6 million for 4 years. It included a $16.6 million signing bonus and offered an average yearly salary of $6.4 million. The 26-year-old signed a contract extension with the team in March this year worth $160 million for 4 years. The contract included a signing bonus of $36 million and an average yearly salary of $40 million.
Considering the contracts of Tommy DeVito and Daniel Jones, it’s obvious that there’s a huge difference. The North Carolina-born Jones is earning a salary of over $39 million more than that of DeVito. However, both the QBs have been giving their best for the team.
