WWE, along with the UFC, created history on September 12, 2023. This is because, on this day, the two entertainment giants merged to form TKO Group Holdings. However, dark clouds spread over the Stamford-based promotion following the merger, as more than 100 employees got fired. All were corporate releases; however, now it seems the promotion has begun talent releases.
A number of WWE superstars have been recently released from the promotion. These include Mustafa Ali, Rick Boogs, and Aliyah, among others. However, one of the most shocking releases is the firing of Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler has given his entire pro wrestling career to the Stamford-based promotion. He had been a part of the company for 19 long years. Thus, his release might have come as a shock to many. However, it seems that Ziggler has received support from Matt Cardona after the termination of his contract.
Cardona took to his ‘X’ handle to share a long post that was apparently dedicated to the released talents. He mentioned that work and money are both available; however, it isn’t easy. He added, “But it also can be incredibly rewarding (in more ways than one) IF YOU WORK YOUR F**KING A*S OFF! I hope to see a lot of you down the road”.
🚨 TO THOSE WHO WERE JUST RELEASED 🚨
This can be the END of your career…
Or it can be the BEGINNING……
Look yourself in the mirror and decide.
I promise you the work and the MONEY is out there.
It’s not easy. It’s a grind. It’s a hustle. It’s frustrating…
But it also…

Thus, Ziggler might have found support upon his release, but it now remains to be seen what path the veteran superstar will choose going forward. Speculations are rising that he might join WWE’s rival promotion AEW soon; it remains to be seen if any of those will ever come true.
Taking a look at the WWE career of Dolph Ziggler
Nicholas Theodore Nemeth, also known as Dolph Ziggler, is an exceptional and top-level pro wrestler. He has dedicated several years of his life to pro wrestling, and that too in WWE. However, he is no longer a part of the Triple H-led promotion.
The year 2004 marked his entry into the Stamford-based promotion. However, he kept going back and forth between OVW and RAW until 2007. The next year, he permanently returned to the main roster.
During his tenure with the promotion, he has successfully bagged several Championships to his name. He has also headlined multiple PPV events. However, he remained undrafted in the 2023 WWE Draft before finally getting terminated on September 21, 2023.
It is now to be seen how many more such shocking releases WWE will present to its viewers in the upcoming days. Also, Ziggler’s fans would wait with eagerness to see if the former WWE Superstar would have anything to say about the matter of his future.
