Dwayne Johnson and his legacy has crossed all the borders and the oceans. His global fandom often puts him on cloud nine with sweet gestures of love and respect. Carrying the trend forward, Grévin Paris carved a new wax figure featuring The Great One.
Located in Paris, on the banks of the Seine, Grévin Paris is one of the oldest wax museums in Europe. Recently, Dwayne Johnson made an addition to their already star-studded list of wax sculptures. Already taking up a place in various cities of Madame Tussauds’, including New York and Las Vegas, DJ is now in Paris.

Dressed in a blue polo shirt tucked inside blue denims with a leather belt, Grévin Paris brought out a completely new look for the former WWE star. However, the look went off the way as for a normal Dwayne Johnson. In addition to this, the Black Adam star did not justify his normal skin tone. The figure clearly looked pale and white, a contradiction to The Rock’s Samoan descent.
Comparing the wax statue to the real-life Dwayne Johnson, there is also a huge variation in his face shape. A bald DJ also flaunts a pointed head, which appears to be missing in the newly crafted figurine. However, the artists did not fail to build up his physique as well as his tattoos, just like he has in reality. Whatever the negatives may be, it is indeed a matter of honor to be placed amongst stars such as Leonardo DiCapri and Meryl Streep in The City of Light.
What did the fans think of the latest wax statue of Dwayne Johnson?
The fans are very sharp-eyed, and they didn’t fail to notice the difference that the figure had in comparison to the real-life Dwayne Johnson. They took to the comment section of Grévin Paris’ post about Johnson and dissed the creators. “Why’s he white?” demanded a fan.
Another fan called them out, writing, “who is this because uhhhh… You do know he’s Samoan and black right lol?” Fans didn’t fail to see the massive change in his complexion and wanted the makers to fix it. “He’s missing melanin. FIX IT!” wrote another fan.
“I’m so sorry, guys, but the rock looks like he got food poisoning,” mocked another Instagram user. Fans also found a resemblance to Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista and Mr. Clean. One user also named the figure “Pitbull and The Rock’s improbable love child.” With such comments from the audience, there are demands that the management follow up on the shortcomings and stay true to his identity.
