In WWE, Drew McIntyre is a well-known figure. He performs in the RAW brand division and dazzles the fans with his heel demeanor in the Stamford-based promotion. In the meantime, fans have been talking about McIntyre’s WWE contract nonstop for a while now.

Since the new era has ushered in the WWE, the speculations regarding WWE wrestlers jumping ship and moving to AEW have also been erased. WON also stated about the ongoing situation quoting “There is also the belief WWE talent is less likely now to opt for AEW.”
Drew’s current storyline is one to watch out for as he is in the main title picture. He fought Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania XL and won the title. His happiness for short lived as Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank Contract to win the title.
Drew McIntyre’s WWE contract situation explained
Many people were curious as to why McIntyre had left the promotion when rumors about it began to circulate. To address this, it is confirmed that Drew has not yet signed a new contract, and his current one is scheduled to end in April 2024. This could mean that he has no interest in continuing his contract with the professional wrestling promotion.
Though there have been constant rumors that the 6-foot-5 superstar may be departing from WWE, this wouldn’t be the first time he’s parted ways with the organization. 2014 saw McIntyre’s release from the Stamford-based promotion during his tenure with the organization.
Drew was known as The Chosen One during his first stay, but he was never able to achieve the levels of accomplishment he desired. For this reason, after a seven-year tenure, The Scottish Warrior finally left the Triple H-led promotion. After that, the 38-year-old began to compete in ICW, where he found great success.
McIntyre was re-signed by WWE as a result of his performances, and he made his comeback on April 1, 2017, at NXT TakeOver: Orlando. Drew was promoted to the main roster, where he excelled, after spending almost a year on the yellow brand.
The latest on Drew McIntyre’s #WWE contract status:
“I do not believe he’s re-signed.
“His contract was to expire at the end of the year, but because of all the injury time accrued, it’s through April.

The former member of 3MB hasn’t held the title of RAW Tag Team Champion with Dolph Ziggler for more than 5 years. Actually, in 2020, McIntyre also took home the esteemed WWE Championship. The Scottish Warrior’s departure would be a severe loss for the Triple H-led promotion, given his impressive resume. Thus, it will be intriguing to watch what transpires after his contract ends.
AEW and Tony Khan get backlash for their recent controversial moves
Tony Khan has made it obvious that he wants to advance after joining AEW in 2019. In the early years of the company, he not only provided some amazing moments, but he also put in a lot of work and developed an empire of extremely talented wrestlers.
When it comes to tickets for their weekly events, which seem to become worse every week, Tony Khan’s AEW is not having a good run. The number of people present at AEW Collision, Rampage, and Dynamite appears to be below expectations, even after a few well-publicized matches.
With the Young Bucks promo on AEW, Tony Khan’s business issues only grew worse. In the end, the business acknowledged the accusations made by CM Punk, which they had made in an effort to degrade him by showing him the All In 2023 footage. If AEW is able to quickly improve both the general caliber of the program and ticket sales, only time will tell.
