CM Punk is a well-known name in the world of professional wrestling. While he is currently a part of WWE, he was previously a part of AEW from 2021 to 2023. However, Punk was terminated from his AEW contract because he got involved in a backstage altercation with Jack Perry after the 2023 AEW All-In event.
Meanwhile, on AEW Collision last Saturday, it was announced that The Young Bucks would be showing the unseen footage of the backstage altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry. With that, on the April 10, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite, the Tony Khan-led promotion revealed the footage.
The video featured Punk approaching Perry and the two talking with each other. However, since the video had no sound, their words couldn’t be heard. With that, ‘The Best in the World’ grabbed the former Jungle Boy in a chokehold. Soon, Samoa Joe, Chris Hero, Paul Tuner, and Jerry Lynn separated them.

Also, WWE stars Dijak and Zoey Stark reacted to Grayson Waller’s post. Thus, it seems, that many WWE personalities have reacted hilariously to the backstage altercation between Punk and Perry. It is now to be seen if The Second City Saint will have anything to say about the video.
CM Punk previously talked about the backstage altercation with Ariel Helwani
Previously, CM Punk appeared in a conversation with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. During that, he opened up about the backstage altercation between him and Perry at AEW. He said that he thought he was doing something responsible.
Punk added that he didn’t punch anyone and said that he had choked someone a little bit. The Best in the World also mentioned that Samoa Joe was present during the altercation, and he asked him to stop, and thus he stopped. He further said, “I turned to Tony and I said, ‘This place is a fu*king joke. You’re a clown. I quit.”
Meanwhile, after the footage has been revealed, it looks like Punk indeed told the truth. The video is pretty much in line with the former AEW star’s story. It is also worth mentioning that while the video was being played, the fans kept chanting CM Punk’s name. Thus, it seems that The Second City Saint’s beloved fans definitely have his back and will keep supporting him, no matter what.
