- Fans call for leadership change at WWE.
Vince McMahon made the headlines for all the wrong reasons in January 2024. Owing to a shocking new revelation coming to light, the WWE co-founder finds himself and his company under heavy scrutiny. As such, fans have been quick to call for a change at the head of the table.
In the past, Vince has been a controversial character, owing to numerous behind-the-scenes controversies. However, the recent allegations on the TKO Group Holdings Executive Chairman may well be his biggest obstacle yet. In the meantime, fans have urged Chief Content Officer Triple H and former CEO and chairwoman Stephanie McMahon to take the reins of the $7 billion franchise.
Stephanie walked away from the company in early 2023 when Vince made his return to sell the company. Since then, she maintained a low profile until WrestleMania 40 where she came out to introduce the “Paul Levesque Era” to the fans. However, there are no reports if she will be involved with the business getting forward.

Although the situation regarding the former WWE CEO is still developing, it is not expected to go away any time soon. Moreover, with new information regarding the involvement of Brock Lesnar and John Laurinaitis also revealed, the ordeal is escalating by the day. With the 2024 Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber coming up shortly, the company will need to smoothen relations with the fans and the media.
Vince McMahon has been accused of s*x trafficking by a WWE employee
For those unaware, Vince McMahon has been accused of s*xual assault and trafficking by a former WWE employee by the name of Janel Grant. As such, Grant has filed a lawsuit in the US District Court in Connecticut, against Vince and John Laurinaitis. Allegedly, McMahon made false promises to Grant, promising to fast-track her career, only to take advantage of her instead.
In the evidence that has been disclosed, Grant mentions being s*xually assaulted by McMahon and another executive. Further, she also delved into disturbing details and the nature of the acts she was made to do. Notably, Janel was also made to sign an NDA, which would see her get $3 million in hush money. However, as the former employee has revealed she was only given $1 million in damages till now.

In addition to this Grant has also showcased vile messages that she has received from McMahon over the years. Not only this but she was reportedly trafficked in order to resign Brock Lesnar to the WWE. With the plethora of disturbing information made public, it is clearly a matter more serious than most. In the meantime, McMahon and TKO Group Holdings issued a statement, labeling the recent allegations as ‘obscene, made-up lies’.
Fans have criticized Triple H for his recent decision-making
With things going from bad to worse, some have called for Stephanie McMahon and Triple H to take charge. However, former The Authority duo has also seen a fair share of criticism amidst the recent events. For one, the Vince McMahon s*xual misconduct lawsuit, also has implications for them, suggesting that both were aware of it.
Notably, the situation has also prompted fans to bring up an old promo of Stephanie McMahon implying she was trafficked at 17 years old. This was followed up in-ring where McMahon spoke about Stephanie being ‘deflowered’. Weirdly enough, there was also an incest angle once thrown into the mix. Having walked away from her co-CEO position last year, a situation as desperate as this could see her return, once again.

In the meantime, all eyes are on Triple H, with many waiting to see how he handles the situation. With a lot of criticism regarding his writing and creative direction, he will have to assume even more responsibility now. Currently, there is no word on WWE President Nick Khan who is likely to issue a statement in the coming days as well.
