SUMMARY
- There has been a lot of uncertainty about the rumored WWE return of Sasha Banks.
- Recent rumors have claimed that Mercedes Mone might be heading to All Elite Wrestling.
Since the last couple of weeks, Mercedes Mone, known as Sasha Banks in WWE, has been the centre of attention in the pro wrestling world. The reason behind her recent popularity has been the rumors that have been circulating about her return to in-ring competition.
While there have been speculations about a potential return to the Triple H-led promotion, many believe she’s heading to All Elite Wrestling. But ahead of her potential AEW debut, Mercedes has chosen a side in the internet feud between Jinder Mahal and Tony Khan.
Even though Sasha hasn’t posted or talked about the online beef, the 31-year-old female star is probably supporting The Modern Day Maharaja. The reason behind this is her recent activity on social media, as the former Women’s Champion liked the latest Instagram post of Jinder.

In fact, fans feel this is potentially Mone’s way of showing support for the Indo-Canadian pro wrestler in the ongoing feud. It must be noted that this issue began after AEW’s CEO made comments about Mahal’s recent booking by WWE. As soon as he did it, the WWE universe came out in The Modern Day Maharaja’s support and took Khan to the corner.
Will Sasha Banks return to WWE at Royal Rumble 2024?
Despite all the recent rumors about a potential AEW debut by Mercedes Mone, a lot of fans believe she’ll be returning to WWE. And, if that’s going to happen, there’s probably no better way for Sasha to make a comeback than at the Royal Rumble 2024 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The Stamford-based promotion is set to organize the upcoming addition of this special event on January 27, and it might be the best opportunity for Banks’ return. If the former Women’s Champion is going to come back to her former company, it’s a no-brainer that she’s a perfect pick for this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match.
With 29 other competitors in the match, it can be a life-changing opportunity for the veteran to once again show the world what she’s got. Moreover, her return will most probably generate one of the biggest audience pops of the entire event, which shows how much the pro wrestling fans love her as a performer.
‘In regard to Mercedes Moné, the last we have heard (which was around Christmas week) was that WWE would absolutely love to have Mercedes back and have made that clear – and that at least early discussions between the sides have happened.

Even though it’s not guaranteed that Mercedes will get to be the winner of the contest, her return itself will be nothing less than a victory. Thus, it now remains to be seen what WWE has in store for the event. Will The Boss make her presence felt at the PLE? Or will crowd have to come home disappointed? We’ll get answers to all questions later this month.
