Who would not like to be a part of a duo such as LeBron James and Dwayne Wade? The two were unstoppable on the basketball floor during their time with the Miami Heat. Talking about duos in sports, courtside during the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets game, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter were spotted. The two young athletes recorded a video in which they claimed to be comparable to one of the greatest duos in basketball history—LeBron and Dwyane Wade.
“We like LeBron and D-Wade” the two could be heard saying in the video. The famous football athletes discussed what kind of NBA players they would be in a recent X post. The two claimed to be comparable to the storied LeBron James and Dwayne Wade. In the same video, they even talked about the Splash Brothers, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson.

However, James and his team suffered a depressing 119-107 loss at the start of the game. Nevertheless, following the game, 38-year-old LeBron James took some time to express his affection to the wide receiver and quarterback. The Colorado University football stars were present to watch the game on Tuesday night when the 38-year-old forward and his Los Angeles Lakers teammates traveled to Denver to play the Nuggets.
LeBron James has previously expressed his admiration for Shedeur and Travis’ abilities on social media, tweeting about the quarterback’s 2022 Jackson State five-touchdown performance. He stopped and greeted both of the former Jackson State football stars after the game.
How good are Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders together?
Following Deion Sanders to Colorado, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are spearheading the effort to restore the Buffaloes to their former glory. Following a fruitful collaboration at Jackson State, the two became naturally close. Sanders discussed his relationship with Hunter in an interview with the media while reigniting it in Boulder, which will be very beneficial to Colorado’s success.
Even though Colorado still has a long way to go before regaining its relevance, if Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter perform up to par, that process will go more quickly.
The two footballers are, however, without a doubt a great match. Hunter’s dual abilities are what set him apart. He has 11 solo tackles as a cornerback, one interception, and two passes defended.
Hunter leads the Buffaloes’ offense as a receiver with an average of 12.2 yards per play. The star Colorado duo still has a lot to prove, but their self-described NBA comparisons help put their talent into perspective.
