This NBA offseason has brought about a lot of attention to James Harden and Damian Lillard. As many NBA fans should certainly be aware, both of these NBA stars appear unhappy with their current situation and made it clear that they would like to switch teams.
In Harden’s case, this is growing into a behavioral pattern. Fans who have been following the Beard over the years will know that he has switched teams multiple times over the past few years. Most recently, he made it clear that he no longer wants to be a part of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Although we were never given official reasons for his displeasure with the organization, many sources revealed that it was due to him not being offered a maximum contract by the 76ers. While one might assume that Harden would be successful in leaving his team, as he has in the past, recent reports seem to indicate otherwise. With that being said, let us take a closer look and find out more.
The Philadelphia 76ers have ended all trade discussions involving James Harden
Despite the fact that James Harden has not spent two full seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, he made it clear that he wanted to move on and potentially join the Los Angeles Clippers. The 76ers star even tried to burn his past bridged by publicly accusing the 76ers president Daryl Morey of being a liar. Moreover, he took a vow to never be a part of the same organization as Morey.

Since all of this sounded quite dramatic, it was given an incredible amount of attention from the media. We were initially led to believe that Philadelphia would cooperate with Harden and attempt to move him to the Los Angeles Clippers. However, reports have emerged announcing that the 76ers have ended trade discussions involving James Harden.

Although the Clippers were initially interested in acquiring James, they were not willing to give the 76ers much in return for him. Therefore, the 76ers have decided that it would be in their best interest to hold onto James Harden for the near future.
One can only imagine how Harden felt upon hearing this news. He will now be forced to attend the 76ers’ training camp and participate in the upcoming NBA season. This was after making it clear that he no longer wanted to be associated with Daryl Morey in any way. We look forward to finding out how he handles his situation over the next few months.
