UFC Mexico was a huge success as 21,546 fans turned up to CDMX Arena in Mexico City to witness Brandon Moreno vs. Brandon Royval in the headliner and some exciting match-ups on the card. As it turned out, there were some exciting match-ups, a disappointing fight cancellation, and much more than went down in Mexico City last night.

The sold-out event recorded the highest attendance for a UFC event in Mexico in the company’s history. Speaking about the event, here’s what Dana White had to say during the post-fight press conference.
“This was obviously very important, monumental week for me, something I have been waiting for a long time.” He said.
UFC Mexico results and performance bonuses
In the main event of UFC Mexico, Brandon Moreno failed to get his hands raised, dropping a split decision loss against Brandon Royval in a competitive fight between the top flyweights.

Raul Rosas Jr. vs Ricky Turcios was pulled off from the main card minutes before both the fighters were scheduled to walk to the Octagon. The match-up was canceled after Raul Rosas Jr. complained of sickness before the fight.
Brian Ortega and Manuel Torres earned the $50k bonus for their submission wins tonight. Ortega bounced back from a rocky first round to submit Yair Rodriguez in the third round with an arm triangle choke in the co-main event of the evening.
Meanwhile, Manuel Torres wasted no time as he submitted Chris Duncan with a rear naked choke in a fun-fest at UFC Mexico. Daniel Zellhuber and Francisco Prado earned the “Fight of the Night” honors for their back-and-forth fight on the main card.

According to multiple reports, Brandon Moreno earned little more than $200,000 for the rematch against Royval, who pocketed $100,000 for the headliner. These numbers are not the official figures from the UFC and are a mere paycheck estimation.
