SUMMARY
- After WrestleMania 40, WWE has officially entered a brand new era.
- This new era is being led by Triple H, and things are changing under his leadership.
Cody Rhodes’ pinning Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 was not just the start of his reign with the Undisputed WWE Championship, but it was also the start of a brand new era. Referred to as the Triple H Era, the Stamford-based promotion has officially entered a new phase, as The Game is now officially in charge of things.
As soon as Hunter took the biggest wrestling promotion into this journey, a lot of changes started to occur on weekly television. Most of them have been around technical aspects of on-screen work, but Michael Cole paying tribute to Gail Kim on the latest episode of RAW is one of the prime examples that it’s not just about a better use of technology.
On the April 22 edition of the red brand, Cole mentioned Gail’s name, and it was something nobody would have expected. This moment took place before the start of the main event match, which was a battle royal to determine the new World Champion for the women’s division after Rhea Ripley vacated her title.

All the participants were standing inside the ring to give it a shot at winning the prestigious title when Michael stated that the veteran was the first performer to win a Women’s Championship by winning a battle royal. It was a bit surprising as Gail Kim is currently signed with TNA, but fans were happy to witness this change.
It’s important to point out that Kim’s title victory came on the June 30, 2003, episode of RAW, as she won a seven-woman battle royal. But what makes it even more interesting is that it was Gail’s first ever televised match in the Stamford-based promotion. After being with the company for few years, she was released in November 2005.
Following her release, Gail talked about her experiences in WWE on several occasions, and even claimed that there was racism in the organization. She even stated that Vince McMahon didn’t like women’s wrestling. Amid such past statements, she wasn’t mentioned in the company for years, but Cole has acknowledged her achievement in the promotion on the recent RAW episode.
Fans are happy with the changes within WWE in the Triple H era
As Michael Cole paid a tribute to Gail Kim, social media users started sharing their reactions to it. Most of the fans are happy with the changes within WWE in this era, and they’ve expressed it heavily. Sharing how the decision to give former stars their flowers is great, an audience member wrote, “Gotta love WWE actually having a history again.” (Via: X)
Pointing out how Gail was a legendary in-ring worker, a pro wrestling enthusiast said, “She’s a legend.” She deserved much better than the opportunities,” a member of the WWE Universe commented after the mention Kim got on the recent episode of Monday Night RAW.
In addition to this, those following the product on a daily basis have witnessed major changes in the booking as well as camera angles, and they loved it. All in all, it’s safe to say that with the kind of response Hunter’s changes have got, he surely needs to continue his creative ideas to take the promotion to heights that it has never reached in its history.
