NBA fans were caught off guard by a recent video of Victor Wembanyama working out. As many of us might be aware by now, Wembanyama was selected with the first pick of the 2023 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs. Although he has yet to prove himself in an official NBA game, there has been an incredible amount of hype and attention given to their rookie.
Despite the fact that we are in the middle of the offseason, news on Wembanyama always seems to keep fans interested. After all, many NBA experts and analysts have claimed that he has the potential to rival NBA legends like LeBron James.
While we might still be months away from the NBA season starting, Wemby has already been working on his physical abilities and getting ready for his official debut with the San Antonio Spurs. With that being said, let us take a closer look at the latest video of Wembanyama.
What has Victor Wembanyama been doing throughout the NBA offseason?
Fans have no difficulty in accepting that Wembanyama has the potential and talent to be a very good NBA star. He is listed at 7’5 and has the handling and shooting abilities of a guard. Since he has also proven to be a solid three-point shooter, it is quite likely that he will make it in the NBA.

One of the largest points of criticism against him has been his frame. People who have seen photos or videos of Wemby will know that he is extremely lean for a player of his size. In fact, one could argue that he is as thin, if not thinner than Kevin Durant.

Working on his mobility is the first step to improving his physical and preventing injuries. A video of Victor stretching with unexpected flexibility soon caught the eyes of NBA fans. Some were quick to notice that his training might just prevent him from being injured a lot, “This will help him avoid injuries.” However, others also mocked him by claiming that stretching wouldn’t change his frame in the slightest.

Although his frame size might be the biggest factor against him, Wemby doesn’t seem to be concerned about getting bigger and is more focused on getting stronger. We look forward to seeing what he is capable of doing with the Spurs once the NBA season begins.
