Controversies are bound to happen whenever CM Punk is involved in any show. The same case happened when he made an appearance at the Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC). As always, Punk gained a lot of attention and generated a lot of buzz after showing up since his AEW release.
While many fans trolled Punk after AEW shockingly terminated his contract, it seems that the CFFC commentators also tried to roast him. As reported before, the Punk saga started at AEW All In when a backstage altercation between him and Jack Perry went out of hand. As Tony Khan took matters into his own hands, he fired Punk from the company, announcing it live on TV.

Since this statement, Punk was nowhere to be seen and no official statement came out from his side. He did return on live TV appearing on CFFC as a commentator. The commentary team also took a shot at him during the show referring to Tony Khan’s comments made on him. Tony Khan also stated how he feared his life when Punk got physical backstage and got nervous during the altercation.
However, a video was circulated over the internet of CM Punk when he was in MMA and the tweet has a caption, “They see CM Punk in the house they all get nervous. Some of them fear for their lives I heard”.

Fans liked this reference from the commentators and poured in their reactions over the internet. Various fans joked about how Punk was a true threat to Tony and could harm him. The other group of people joked about Punk’s MMA career and how he ultimately failed in MMA.
A fan even tweeted, “He is having way too much fun“. Some even talked about the commentators for trolling Punk, “Cm Punk co commentator is a SAVAGE lmao“. “He’s putting punk on the spot“ said another user. (Via-X)
Will CM Punk finally return to WWE after 9 years?
As of now, Punk is a free agent and might look for a new company to work for. After his AEW release, speculations are that he might return to the WWE. During the show, he also hinted at his return to the company. When asked about how much time he has, he answered saying he is free for the next two months. This generated a buzz as the Survivor Series is gonna take place after two months, that too in Chicago.

There are high chances that The Best in the World might make a return to the Survivor Series this year. While he has been the subject of a lot of controversy since his return to pro wrestling, fans would love to see him back in WWE. Whether he returns or not remains a matter of debate and speculation, but it is sure that Punk will be back in action after two months.
