The Undertaker is one of the biggest personalities in the pro wrestling industry. The Phenom has had a glorious career spanning over three decades. He is a legendary veteran, and therefore, his opinions and pieces of advice are greatly valued in the industry. Recently, on his podcast ‘Six Feet Under with Mark Callaway,’ The Deadman shared a controversial opinion that caused a stir amongst the fans.
In the podcast, Undertaker revealed his list of the top 4 wrestling talkers, and as soon as the podcast was out, fans around the world were debating it. Fans were accusing The Deadman of leaving out some great wrestling talkers from the list, particularly John Cena. The fans were rumoring about the conspiracy of WWE’s Legend snubbing some of the great wrestling talkers from the list.
A fan wrote on his X, “I have a feeling that the Undertaker doesn’t like Cena much.. He never really took his name unless asked and even when asked about him, he said that Cena is an overachiever.” He pointed out that there may be animosity between Cena and The Deadman.
Another fan wrote, “Cena has got to be up there. I’m not sure who you take off (maybe Arn?) but Cena shook the Rock. And I’ve never seen that before or since. But yeah Cena”. He believed that irrespective of who was removed from the list, Cena should make it.
The list was criticized by fans for not including other superstars like CM Punk and Piper. One of the fans wrote, “I love Arn but he ain’t better than CM Punk or Piper”. Another one was seen comparing Shawn Michaels and Arn Anderson by saying, “Change Arn with Shawn Michaels and im fine”. It was seen that fans were not too happy with The Undertaker’s list, which lacked their favorite and some of the biggest superstars in WWE.
Why did The Undertaker select the 4 veteran wrestlers on the list?
The Undertaker acknowledged at the start of the discussion that he might not be sure if he had got the list right. He believed that people may not agree with his choice or find it surprising, and then went on to state his top 4 best wrestling talkers of all time.
According to The Undertaker’s Mt. Rushmore of wrestling talkers, the number 4 spot was given to Arn Anderson. He explained that Arn was an eloquent talker and never stumbled on his words. He said, “Coming in at number 4, my dark horse, Double A, Arn Anderson. Arn had that unique ability to make you feel what it was he was gonna do in the match.” Further moving on, he named The Rock as his number 3 on the list.

Deadman explained that The Rock was an entertaining guy and came up with awesome things. He said, “Coming in at number 3, ‘If you smell what The Rock is cooking.’ Look, I don’t care whose list you put who on. If you don’t have The Rock on your top 4, you’re crazy.” As the podcast proceeded, he talked about Ric Flair being number 2 on the list. The Deadman explained how the ‘Nature Boy’ still had it in him after all these years and had an arsenal filled with good catchphrases.
He said, “Again, I’m gonna go back to the past a little bit…..Number two. I got the ‘Nature Boy,’ Ric Flair. He’s still cutting them promos today all these years.” On top of his list was Dusty Rhodes. According to him, ‘The American Dream’ was a master of the mic and a true American icon. He said, “Number one on my mic work. The working man, he’s wined and dined with kings and queens and ate pork and beans”.
He further added, “The American Dream.’ That’s right, Texas’ own The American Dream Dusty Rhodes baby”. These top four wrestlers made The Undertaker’s list, whereas he said in the beginning that managers were excluded and the list was only the wrestler’s edition. The Phenom has retired from wrestling and now enjoys family time and runs his podcast.
