SUMMARY
- Former WCW and WWE star Bill Goldberg has labeled AEW as "cheesy."
- However, AEW fans did not like what Goldberg had to say about the Tony Khan-led promotion.
Bill Goldberg, popularly known as Goldberg, has a multi-talented personality. He is a professional wrestler, former football defensive tackle, and actor. However, he is popular among fans for his time in WCW and WWE. In fact, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018.
Goldberg’s last match in WWE took place at the Elimination Chamber in 2022. At the PLE, Roman Reigns defeated Goldberg via technical submission to retain the WWE Universal Championship. Following that, at the end of the year, Goldberg’s contract with the Stamford-based promotion expired and was not renewed.

With that, several speculations about Goldberg’s future came into the spotlight. Fans speculated that since Goldberg’s contract with WWE was not renewed, he might never go back to WWE and might join WWE’s rival promotion, AEW.
However, as of now, it seems there’s no chance of Goldberg becoming a part of the Tony Khan-led promotion. Thus, it remains uncertain whether the WWE Hall of Famer will decide to return to the pro wrestling ring or not.
Goldberg shared his thoughts about All Elite Wrestling
Amidst speculations about Goldberg’s future, he recently appeared for an interview with 93.7 The Ticket. During that, the former WWE superstar shared his thoughts about All Elite Wrestling. He said he had previously talked to Tony Khan several times in the past.
Goldberg added, “This is where you’re gonna get the most blunt answer you’re gonna get from me. The product’s too cheesy. It doesn’t deserve to have…I mean, whatever. You’re really gonna get me going. But if there was a comparable, viable option as a competitor that would allow me to still look myself in the mirror after I was a member of their roster, yeah, then it would be a consideration. But not a chance.“
