Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has taken the internet by storm after rumors of him ‘hanging out’ with popstar Taylor Swift started swirling. Kelce, who missed his team’s Week 1 loss to the Detroit Lions, had talked about wanting to give Swift his number.
According to a report released by ‘The Messenger’, “Taylor and Travis have been quietly hanging out. She saw him when she was in NYC a few weeks ago.”
However, Entertainment Tonight has stated the pair are not ‘officially dating’ yet. No comments have yet been made by the representatives of Swift and Kelce.
In July, Kelce attended Swift’s show in Kansas City at the Arrowhead Stadium. He conspired to give the 12-time Grammy Award winner his number. Kelce made a bracelet with his number written on the beads. He planned on giving it to Swift but it was not meant to be. He talked about it on the New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Kelce explained on the podcast.

The rumors of the pair hanging out had taken over social media. Many fans claimed that Kelce is one of the first attractive men Swift is going out with. Meanwhile, others already predicted that they would go through a breakup and Swift would make a song about it. One fan wrote, “This next song is going to be WILD!!”

In April, Swift broke up with long-time boyfriend Joe Alwyn. She was linked to Matty Healy in May and they reportedly dated for a few weeks before calling it quits in June. Swift has reportedly been single since then.
Kelce, on the other, has been single since 2022, at least publicly. He split up with his long-time girlfriend Kayla Nicole in the early days of 2022.
The 33-year-old will now be focusing on recovering from his knee injury to come back and help his team. His Week 2 status is still unclear but he hopes to make a swift recovery.
