WWE’s Rated R Superstar, Edge made a jaw-dropping return to the Triple H-led promotion back in 2020. His return to the company was enough to explain the love he has for the WWE Universe.
However, his second run seems to be nearing its end. The members of the WWE Universe soon may have to bid him goodbye. Following the tradition of Stamford-based promotion, fans want to make the last match of Edge’s career memorable and have started putting brains into the matter.
Fans have a list of stars who are eligible to face Edge in his second retirement match. Even the WWE stars such as Bully Ray and Rhea Ripley have pitched in to be his last opponent inside the squared circle.

“John Cena. Edge has himself expressed his desire to face Cena one last time before his retirement,” wrote one fan on ‘X’. A huge chunk of his fandom wants one final match with his former partner. “Christian, yes I know he is in AEW but if it’s possible to make it happen before they both retire that would be the ideal final feud,” wrote another fan.
Fans have been tremendously inclined to see the WWE Hall of Famer go against Christian Cage for his final match. They took to X and wrote their desires, “He should jump and retire feuding with Christian Cage in AEW, ” and “The final match should be a tag with Christian v The Hardys“. While fans know the possibility of an inter-promotional match is quite bleak, they still want the match to take place.

The fans have brought out the entire list of stars from WWE as Edge’s final opponent. However, a majority of them want him to go against either John Cena or Christian. Other stars that stand in the queue are Finn Balor, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, and Gunther. Only time will reveal who The Rated R Superstar would want to face in the ring for his final match.

He called out Sheamus, his opponent for the following week’s SmackDown. Edge then went ahead to highlight the role that The Celtic Warrior played in his return at the 2020 Royal Rumble.
