A lot of carnage went down on 14th November when the Warriors played against the Timberwolves. Draymond Green and Rudy Gobert were at the center of it all. A brawl broke out in the game, started by Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels, and eventually stretched out to Draymond Green and Rudy Gobert.
Rudy Gober was gutted by Green and his actions, he was devastated later on by the NBA too for giving him a fine which he thought was unwanted. He said, “Every situation is different, but to me, that was more than just a reaction, That was a personal attack,” Gobert said. “Me being fined when I was being a peacemaker, and I chose to keep my hands up while I was being assaulted, it’s shameful. Shameful. And I’m going to appeal that fine.”

This fight saw Draymond Green getting suspended for 5 games by the NBA and others were fined and ejected from the game too. It is his fifth suspension in his career. Green most recently received a suspension for stomping on Kings center Domantas Sabonis’ chest during Game 3 of the first round of the NBA playoffs against Sacramento last season.
Steve Kerr calls out Draymond Green for his antics on Rudy Gobert
Steve Kerr, head coach of the Golden State Warriors was no fan of what Green did on the Court during the game. On the contrary, he was fuming with his player and also called him out after the game, The NBA suspended Green for 5 games and Kerr had a lot to say.
“Yes, he definitely took it too far.”

“Draymond has to find a way to not cross the line,” Kerr said. “I’m not talking about getting an ejection or a technical, I’m talking about a physical act of violence. That’s inexcusable. We have to do everything we can to give him the help and assistance he needs to be able to draw that distinction between being an incredible competitor … but he can’t cross that line. He crossed it the other night, for sure.”
Steve Kerr would have to completely set up a new game plan for his next 5 games now. Until Draymond is back the Warriors will have to watch out for their defense as opposition teams will look to expose their weakness since one of their star defenders is suspended.
Draymond Green will receive no pay throughout his suspension
Draymond Green, a forward with the Golden State Warriors, will serve a five-game non-paying suspension from the NBA for “escalating an on-court altercation and forcibly grabbing Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert around the neck in an unsportsmanlike and dangerous manner.”

The NBA has always been strict with its rules and fines over the years. As stated, the NBA or the Warriors won’t be paying Green during his 5 game suspension. Green has to take responsibility for his actions on the court, as each year passes the situation with him tends to worsen.
Along with games against the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, and San Antonio Spurs, Green will also miss two games against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The final game is a part of the in-season tournament. He also will lose $769,970 as a result of the suspension as per abc7news.
It remains to be seen how Draymond changes his nature and tries to improve himself in the future. These unwanted actions will only harm his career and his personality as a player. He has to take responsibility sooner rather than later as he is the most experienced player on the Warriors’ roster.
