Stephen Curry recently voiced his personal opinion on the best three-point shooters across the league. As most NBA fans should certainly be aware, Steph is an excellent three-point shooter and is widely regarded as the best that the game has seen. The fact that he is holding the #1 spot on the all-time three-point shooting leaders list is further proof of his abilities.
Although there is no denying that Steph has revolutionized the game with his skills, fans should wonder if his opinions should be taken as undoubtedly accurate. The GSW star was recently asked to name the best shooters in the league and had quite an interesting list.
Curry ended up sharing his perspective on the top 3 shooters in the league, not including himself. Let us take a closer look at his list and find out if he got it right.
Did Stephen Curry overlook anyone on his list?
One could argue that Steph Curry threw out quite a biased list. His top three shooters were Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, and Seth Curry. The fact that he has one of his teammates and siblings on the list throws quite a lot of doubt on its legitimacy.

Before we take a look at the numbers, it is important to take note that the three-point shooting percentage is based on a few variables. It is far more likely for Stephen Curry to get guarded harder when compared to someone like Al Horford. Therefore, Horford might have the higher shooting percentage simply because most of his shots are uncontested.
Damian Lillard finished last season shooting 37.1% from the three-point line. Seth Curry shot 40.5% of his three-pointers. Klay Thompson statistically leads this list at 41.2% from beyond the arc. In comparison to the players on this list, Jaylen Brunson shot better from the three-point line at 41.6%. However, he and several other players were snubbed out of spots that were filled up by Steph’s brother and teammate.

In any case, fans shouldn’t be too quick to judge Steph for his list. He knows what Klay Thompson and Seth Curry are capable of doing better than the rest of us. Since he has confidently included them on his list, fans should expect a breakout year from either one of them next season.
