Recently crowned WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Ronda Rousey made the headlines following her controversial comments post-Raw. After her title wins, Rousey commented that the women’s tag team division in WWE was “dismally shallow” and that there was a lack of competition.
Rousey has since been battered on social media, with many claiming that her comments were unfounded and that they did not reflect the true scenario of the women’s division. The Triple Crown Champion has since taken to Twitter, and it seems that she is refusing to apologize. In a cryptic post, she stated that “well-behaved women rarely make history.”

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler faced Raquel Rodriguez & Shiotzi, Damage CTRL, and Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville in a Fatal Four Way tag team match to determine the new women’s tag team champions. The former MMA stars won after Rousey submitted Shotzi to the armbar. With the win Rousey is now a Triple Crown Champion and eighth in WWE history.
Ronda Rousey has previously taken shots at WWE’s booking of the women’s division
Ronda Rousey is not one to shy away from making her feelings known. In July 2022, Rousey took to Instagram to vent her frustrations over her booking on SmackDown. During the Money in the Bank event last year, Liv Morgan cashed in her MITB contract on Ronda Rousey to win the SmackDown Women’s Title. This led to a seemingly furious Rousey calling out WWE and asking them to “stop screwing” her to “put over their golden girls at every major ppv.”

The Baddest Woman on the Planet was once again scathing about WWE’s booking earlier this year. Taking to Instagram once again, Rousey called out the WWE and also seemingly accused former CEO Vince McMahon of bad booking. The tag team champion stated her and Morgan’s feud from last year would have been even better if they were not “hamstrung by a bunch of octogenarians” who put “less than five minutes of thought a week into each women’s storyline.”

Taking into account that she has once again gone on record to criticize the company, it remains to be seen whether she will garner backstage heat for her comments. Rousey is undoubtedly one of the top stars in the women’s division, and WWE may not want to make her more irate. It will also be interesting to note how Rousey and Baszler’s tag team champion run will pan out in the coming weeks.
