American professional wrestler Ronda Rousey is rumored to be leaving WWE to make a comeback in the UFC. The rumor further got fueled when the superstar was seen featuring in a DraftKings Endorsement for UFC 290.
Rousey left the octagon business in 2016 after losing to Amanda Nunes back in 2016. She expressed that she would possibly never come back to the organization.
The former UFC champion then made a name for herself in pro wrestling after joining WWE. She gained her fair share of popularity there. While there were already reports of her bidding farewell to the company, her recent promotional video for DraftKings has fueled those rumors.

Even though Rousey has officially not spoken anything about her UFC return, fans are of the opinion that she is all set to leave WWE to hit the Octagon once again.
Why is Ronda Rousey Leaving WWE?
So, the question arises: why would the WWE superstar want to leave the company after she made a fantastic comeback this year by winning the Women’s Royal Rumble in January?
If we were to connect some dots, the UFC 135lb Championship title is vacant after Rousey’s famous rival Amanda Nunes retired from the game in June 2023. This can also be something that motivated Rousey to move to Mixed Martial Arts once again.
UFC commentator Jon Anik also thought of Rousey as a perfect candidate for the vacant Bantamweight title. However, he also mentioned that it would be a little unfair if the “Baddest Women on the Planet” got to fight for the title right away.
He was of the opinion that there were a lot of fighters who had worked really hard on their game since Rousey’s exit and deserved a title shot.
One more reason why Ronda Rousey might want to leave WWE is the lack of competition in the women’s division. This is because Rousey herself mentioned earlier that the company needs to invest in the tag team championship matches.
As Ronda Rousey’s stint with WWE is about to end, her last match is expected to be against her old friend Shayna Baszler. WWE had already started the feud between the two when Baszler “betrayed” her tag team partner Rousey and hit her in the match against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
