Ric Flair is one of the all-time greats, not only in WWE but in the entire professional wrestling industry. His love and determination were the reasons he gave his all to the sport and registered himself as the most successful superstar in terms of title reigns, which is now tied by John Cena.
The Nature Boy‘s love for pro wrestling is not just limited to in-ring action; he has been open about how he feels outside the ring too. Not just his own pro wrestling career, but the WWE veteran has also remained in the spotlight for talking about other superstars through his appearances.
A similar incident happened very recently, as the 16-time World Champion opened up about how badly the Stamford-based promotion treated The Miz. He opened up about this during an interview on This Past Weekend Podcast with Theo Von.
The Nature Boy said, “He’s a great kid, man. He’s a guy that really cares for the business, man. And they s**t on him when he started … They gave him a tough time. That’s b******t. The guys that bully, I got no time for that. But he’s a wonderful kid, and he’s made the most of it“. (Via: Wrestle Features)
In addition to opening up about how badly The Miz was treated in WWE, the 16-time Champion also talked about how talented The A-lister is. Flair appreciated him for making the most of the limited opportunities he receives at the Stamford-based promotion and claimed that he is a really respectful Individual.
The Miz is set to feud with LA Knight
Ric Flair’s comments about Missionary Mike feel somewhat true, as The Miz hasn’t really been involved in anything noteworthy for a long time. However, it seems that things are about to change for WWE’s A-lister, as he is set to feud with the hottest prospect in the company, LA Knight.
The seeds for this rivalry were sown on the August 7 episode of RAW, as The Miz and LA Knight were involved in a memorable exchange. Their segment was a kind of promo battle in which both performers showcased fabulous mic skills. The A-lister and Knight continued their promo segment for about five minutes, and it saw them taking some personal shots at each other.
In the final moments of their segment, the two superstars were engaged in a brawl as Miz took a cheap shot at LA, but the fan favorite was able to walk out with the upper hand after their exchange of blows. Looking at the way a long promo battle was organized between them, it’s obvious that there are plans for a potential storyline involving them both.
With the amount of praise their on-mic performances received from the WWE Universe, it seems that the promotion will soon start a full-fledged program between The Miz and LA Knight. It’ll be interesting to see if their in-ring styles can also complement each other when the two superstars collide inside the ring.
