There have been numerous players in NFL history who left the league early, and Peter Warrick is one of them. Born on June 19, 1977, the wide receiver played in the league for 6 years. Warrick had been passionate about football since a very young age. The Florida-born athlete began playing football at Southeast High School. Other than football, he used to play basketball and track and field as well.
During his junior year, Peter Warrick got 9 touchdowns for more than 600 yards and caught 36 passes. As a senior, the NFL star played as a QB and got 13 TDs for 673 rushing yards. The 46-year-old WR even served as the captain for his team twice for state football championships. His performance in track and field was exceptional as well, as he won state 6-A titles in the long jump twice.

A look at the NFL stats of Peter Warrick
Peter Warrick, 195 lb, inspired many football lovers during his short NFL career. He made his NFL debut in 2000 with the Cincinnati Bengals. The team selected him as their 4th pick in the 1st round of the NFL draft. It was all because of the great career he had at the University of Florida.
During his first 3 years in the league, Warrick was quite disappointing. The star player contributed to the team, but couldn’t get more than 670 passes. However, he bounced back in 2003 as he got 79 passes and 7 TDs for 819 yards. The happiness was short-lived as he sustained an injury the next year. After that, the 5-foot-11 tall WR missed most of the 2004 season, and the team released him in 2005.
After the Bengals, Peter Warrick joined the Seattle Seahawks, but his performance wasn’t up to the mark. However, he got to play the only Super Bowl of his career with the team that they lost to the Steelers. Throughout his NFL career, Warrick got 18 TDs for 2,991 receiving yards. He also had 2 TDs for 360 rushing yards with an average of 6.8. As a punt returner, he had 2 TDs for 555 yards.
After the Seahawks released him, Peter Warrick retired from the NFL. Since then, the star player has been trying his luck in different leagues, including Indoor Football League, Canadian Football League and Continental Indoor Football League.
