The New England Patriots suffered an embarrassing loss against the Philadelphia Eagles in the season opener. The team was looking to give their season a great start but fell short of it losing by 20-25. The day was special for the Patriots as it was the ‘Tom Brady appreciation day”. However, it didn’t go as planned, and fans are unhappy as this is the team’s third consecutive season opener loss.
The Patriots made a great comeback against the Eagles, but it wasn’t enough to seal a victory. Patriots’ quarterback Mac Jones got 3 scores while throwing for 316, but he couldn’t lead the team to a win. Fans are quite disappointed with Jones and the whole team and want Tom Brady back.

The Instagram account of the Patriots franchise posted a video of Tom Brady in his team jersey. Right after the team’s loss, fans filled the comment section asking the NFL legend to come back. While some fans called Brady a “GOAT”, others mentioned that he’d have won the match for the team. Some fans urged the star quarterback to come back for one more season as well.
One fan wrote, “Man I miss him in that shirt”. Another one wrote, “The GOAT, nobody like him”. Another fan commented, “Come back TB12”. One fan commented, “Brady would have won the game”. Another one wrote, “Man if he was on the field tn”. One fan wrote, “Dude could come out of retirement and still be better than Mac Jones”. Another one wrote, “Come back Tom! One more!”.
There is undoubtedly a huge craze for Tom Brady among the fans. The quarterback has led the team to 6 Super Bowl victories. Now, it’ll be interesting to see whether Mac Jones succeeds in leading the team to success or not.
The Patriots are ready to induct Tom Brady into their hall of fame
The New England Patriots are special for Tom Brady as he began his NFL career with the team. He was the team’s 199th pick back in the 2000 NFL draft. Nobody would’ve imagined that he’d become the greatest quarterback of all time in the league. However, here he stands now, with a long list of records and a massive fan following.
The star quarterback was present at the Gillette Stadium during the game between the Patriots and the Eagles. It was a special occasion as the team announced that Brady would be their Hall of Fame inductee next year. The Patriots have selected a special date for it as well which aligns with Brady’s Jersey no. 12 and his 6 Super Bowl wins.
The team took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal that on June 12, 2024 (6/12/2024), Tom Brady will become a Patriots Hall of Famer. Though Brady has played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well, he’s still a “Patriot for life”. He made his love for the team obvious in front of the audience at the Gillette Stadium.
“Another day in this stadium that I will never forget… Nobody 23 years ago would imagine that this journey would bring us here today… One thing I’m sure of, and that will never change, is that I am a Patriot for life,” Brady said.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft announced that they are waiving the 4-year waiting period for Tom Brady. So, without any further delay, the NFL legend will be a Hall of Famer for coach Bill Belichick’s team.
